PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to receive the provision of playback contents by a simple operation without knowing the whereabouts or file name of the content in a network system.

SOLUTION: A whereabouts inquiry request generated by a CPU 130 is transmitted through an LAN module 118 to a content playback device, and a whereabouts inquiry response from the content playback device is received through the LAN module 118, and the whereabouts of content played back by the content playback device is grasped. A CPU 130 forms the provision request of the content to a content storage device grasped by the whereabouts inquiry response, and transmits the provision request of the content through the LAN module 118 to the content storage device, and receives the provision of the content from the content storage device.
