<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter which switches a voltage to be fed back to prevent a change from a sensing voltage to an output voltage which leads to a non-control state when a sensing line of a remote sensing type power converter is disconnected and performs PWM (pulse width modulation) control without interrupting the output voltage. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The power converter includes a disconnection detecting means to detect a disconnection of the sensing line and a duty control means to control a duty ratio of an output pulse for performing PWM control, and the duty control means controls the output pulse to a constant duty ratio according to detection of the disconnection by the disconnection detecting means. The power converter performs the PWM control usually based on the sensing voltage and performs the PWM control at the constant duty ratio during sensing line disconnection. Therefore, an excessive output voltage is prevented from being supplied even when the sensing line is disconnected and the sensing voltage to be fed back is lowered.
