<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that suppresses adhesion of vapor of oil to a heater. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 includes: a heater 120 provided above a heating roller 61 and heating a surface of the heating roller 61; a cover 130 having a sidewall surrounding the side of the heater 120 and an aperture 133 facing the surface of the heating roller 61; and a cleaning unit 160 removing stain adhering to the surface of the heating roller 61 by applying the oil. The heating roller 61 turns from an upstream side toward a downstream side. The cleaning unit 160 is provided on an upstream side of the heater 120. The sidewall is provided so that an aperture surface of the aperture 133 may be tilted to the downstream side with respect to a line L linking the rotary shaft of the heating roller 61 and the center of the heater 120.
