<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction of brake fluid pressure of a liquid passage connected to a wheel cylinder of a second line when a liquid passage connected to a wheel cylinder of a first line fails at an abnormal time of a slave cylinder. <P>SOLUTION: At the abnormal time when the slave cylinder 23 is disabled to operate and control is performed by braking fluid pressure generated by a master cylinder, if the liquid passage Pc connecting a rear fluid pressure chamber 39A of the slave cylinder 23 and the wheel cylinder of the first line fails, a front piston 38B may retract with respect to a rear piston 38A as the fluid pressure of the rear fluid pressure chamber 39A is lost, and the braking fluid pressure fed to the wheel cylinder of the second line may lower as the volume of a front fluid pressure chamber 39B expands. However, because retraction of the front piston 38B is restricted by abutting of a pin 61 and an elongate hole 38d with each other when the slave cylinder 23 is not operating, the front piston 38B does not retract at all, and volume expansion of the front fluid pressure chamber 39B can be completely prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
