<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition with which a light scattering layer achieving high light retrieving efficiency can be formed by a simple method, and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The coating composition contains metal oxide ultrafine particles surface-modified with an organic acid, light scattering particles, and a monomer having two or more ethylenically unsaturated groups, and includes an organic solvent content of ≤1 mass% relative to the total amount of the composition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
