<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerating cycle device accurately determining the refrigerant shortage state regardless of specifications of cycle subassemblies. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Refrigerant evaporation temperature of an evaporator for making refrigerant side cooling capacity Qer calculated from a circulating refrigerant flow rate Gr of a cycle and outside air temperature Tam and air side cooling capacity Qea calculated from blowing air quantity Ga to the evaporator, suction side air temperature Tein and heat exchange fin temperature Tef1 of the evaporator equal to each other is, defined as estimated refrigerant evaporation temperature Tef2. When an absolute value of a difference between the estimated refrigerant evaporation temperature Tef2 and heat exchange fin temperature Tef1 detected as the actual refrigerant evaporation temperature exceeds a reference difference KTef, the refrigerant is determined to be in a shortage state.
