<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and highly sensitive method for simultaneously and quantitatively detecting gene expression profile in two or more samples. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method is to use sample-specific primers containing a sample-specific sequence tag for cDNA synthesis and for subsequent amplification of the synthesized cDNAs, produce one or more sample-specific amplification products by selectively amplifying cDNA subsets, and compare the levels of abundance of genes between samples for confirming differently expressed genes.
