<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system, an information processing method, and a program which enable a user to easily obtain again a program which is provided to the user in a state of being stored in a rewritable information storage medium. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A control part 20 of a product management server 2 generates program identifiers corresponding to programs stored in a rewritable semiconductor memory. A storage part 21 of the product management server 2 accepts a program identifier from a user and stores program provision data showing that a program corresponding to this program identifier has been provided, in association with an identifier of the user. When the control part 2 of the product management server 2 accepts a request for re-provision of a program from a user, the program is provided again if program provision data showing this program has been provided is stored in the storage part 21 of the product management server 2 in association with an identifier of this user.
