PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device for preventing a recorded material, such as a CD-R, from being wrongly inserted into the device body, in the case of setting the recordable material in the recessed setting part of a holding tray. SOLUTION: The recording device is equipped with: the holding tray 55 which is reciprocally transported to be placed at a set position for setting the recordable material Q and another position; a transport roller 34 which applies transport force to the holding tray; and a wrong insertion preventive member 89 of the recorded material, which is provided so as to advance into or retract from the holding ray in a region 88 facing the surface of the holding tray, on which the recorded material is set, when the holding tray is positioned at the set position.
