<p>Disclosed is a method for producing an artificial lipid membrane conveniently within a short time. Also disclosed is an artificial lipid membrane production apparatus suitable for the practice of the method. Specifically, the apparatus comprises a base plate, a first spacer, a first thin film, a second spacer, a second thin film and a cover. A first chamber is arranged between the base plate and the first thin film. The first thin film has a first through hole. A second chamber is arranged between the first thin film and the second thin film. The second thin film has a second through hole. The cover has an inlet. The method comprises the following steps in this order: a first electrolytic solution injection step of injecting an electrolytic solution into the first chamber; a lipid solution injection step of injecting a lipid solution into the first through hole or the second through hole; and a second electrolytic solution injection step of injecting an electrolytic solution into the inlet to form an artificial lipid membrane in the inside of the through hole into which the lipid solution has been injected.</p> |
