<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein, since various kinds of paper are used for documents mounted on a document base depending on users, and light reflectivity of gloss paper or color paper is different from that of general paper, when a paper pattern is always registered and checked with the same light intensity, it leads to erroneous determination of the paper pattern. <P>SOLUTION: This image formation device includes: a gloss level detection means to detect the gloss level of a document put on document base glass; a first storage means to store a table for relating the gloss level provided by the detection means to the light intensity of a light source illuminating the document; a light source means to emit light intensity determined from the first storage means; a code data generation means to read a paper pattern in a paper pattern collection region of the document to generate paper pattern code data; and a second storage means to store the code data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
