PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain stable rotation of a photoreceptor drum by controlling periodic speed variation of the photoreceptor drum. SOLUTION: The rotator driving device includes a rotator, a driving means for rotating and driving the rotator, a rotational speed-detecting means for detecting the rotational speed of the rotator, and a storing means for storing rotational speed information obtained when the rotator is driven at a constant speed each predetermined rotation phase interval until the past n circumferences.
