<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid droplet flying apparatus which have minute liquid droplets fly in a required and sufficient state without enlargement of the apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The liquid droplet flying apparatus by an acoustic radiation pressure comprises: an ultrasonic generation part 4 formed of a piezoelectric material; an ink layer 3 serving also as a propagation part which propagates ultrasonic waves; and a regulation plate 1 which regulates a liquid thickness of the ink layer having an ink ejection hole 2 opened therein. The apparatus is configured to satisfy d2≤d≤d3 with respect to d2 and d3 whereby a distance d from the ultrasonic generation part to the ink layer level holds d=r<SP>2</SP>/λ-λ/4 and λ=c/f when a radius of an oscillating part is r, an ultrasonic frequency is f, and a sound velocity of the ink is c; and whereby P(d2)=P(d1)×0.8 and P(d3)=P(d1)×0.8 are held when a sound pressure at that time is P(d1).
