<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that it is complicated to search for and set a desired item because of an increase in the number of menu items due to a large capacity of media and that it further takes time in searching for the desired menu item because the number of menu items to be displayed is limited when an imaging apparatus is made compact, in the imaging apparatus having a function for displaying and setting a menu item for attached information addition to a moving image to be photographed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus 100 acquires apparatus information from a peripheral apparatus 109 by radio communication when setting a menu item.
