PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid herbicidal composition that controls any targeted principal weed among weeds belonging to the genus Gramineae and broadleaf weeds immediately effectively and accurately over a long period of time, has a light environmental load, is inexpensive, and can be sprayed without troubles, and to provide a herbicidal method. SOLUTION: The liquid herbicidal composition includes as effective ingredients sodium hydrogen carbonate and/or potassium hydrogen carbonate and/or an acetic acid salt and/or a citric acid salt, and some other herbicide, particularly a plant essential oil.
