摘要 Disclosed is a liquid heater that is capable of quickly heating a fluid such as a persulfate solution to a high temperature. The heater is equipped with: a flow channel member that comprises a material that transmits near infrared rays and that forms a flow channel (4) with a thickness of 10 mm or less through which a liquid flows; and near-infrared heaters (7, 8) that are provided on the outside of at least one of the opposing flow channel faces of the flow channel and that heat the liquid inside the flow channel. A liquid flowing through the flow channel is instantly and uniformly heated by means of the near-infrared rays. It is preferable that a spacer (6) that restricts the capacity of the flow channel is also provided inside the flow channel (4). By reducing the volume of the flow channel inside the heater and by increasing the rate of flow within the heater, the retention time inside the heater can be reduced while maintaining an extremely large heat transfer area, and the liquid to be heated can be heated to a high temperature quickly even with a low temperature set for the heat transfer surface.
