METHOD FOR SCREENING ANTI-CANCER AGENTS PREVENTING COX-2 FROM ENTERING THE NUCLEUS

PURPOSE: A method for screening an anticancer drug and an anticancer drug composition are provided to prevent and treat cancer. CONSTITUTION: A method for screening an anticancer drug which suppresses the nucleus movement of COX-2 comprises: a step of administering a test drug to a cell expressing a COX-2 containing epidermal growth factor(EGF)-like domain(amino acid 24-54) and a membrane-binding domain(MBD)(amino acid 59-111); and a step of determining the suppression of the nucleus movement of the COX-2 when DNA is damaged. COX-2 enters a nucleus and interacts with p53 when DNA is damaged. The EGF-like growth factor has an amino acid of sequence number 3. The DNA is damaged by doxorubicin, etoposide, or sctinomycin. The anticancer drug composition contains the screened drug as an active ingredient.
