PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery pack and a power source using the same capable of flexibly adapting to needs of a user without inivolving large designing cost. SOLUTION: Each secondary battery pack 101, 102, 103 incorporates a CPU, and is structured to be enabled to take a master mode having a communication function with other secondary battery packs as well as a control function, and a slave mode. The secondary battery pack 101 is turned into the master mode as a change-over function terminal 1081 is pulled up, and the secondary battery packs 102, 103 into the slave mode as the same are pulled down, for which, the secondary battery pack 101 of the master mode monitors such information as voltage, current, temperature of each secondary battery pack of the slave mode through communication wiring 104, and communicates battery information to the user through an interface 105 to carry out control of an electric switch 106 with a control signal terminal 107.
