<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user who has no cash card to use an automated teller machine by identifying the user without installing any special device such as a short-range radio communication equipment on the automated teller machine. <P>SOLUTION: A automated teller system includes: a database 6 for storing an account number, mail address, and ID in association with each other; and a service management server 5 for accepting the input of the mail address by the operation of a user 8 before performing transaction using an automated teller machine 1, receiving the mail address and notification to request issuing the ID from terminal equipment 2, storing the ID generated based on the notification in association with the mail address in the database 6, and issuing the ID. An automated teller machine 1 accepts the input of the issued ID and a password.
