<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain which allows the reduction in cost and the utilization at a location in which transmitting power is relatively high. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A chain link 2 constituting a chain 1 is equipped with a shaft part 2b and a supporting part 2c for turnably supporting the shaft part 2b. The supporting part 2c consists of a substantially arc-shaped curved surface wall part 2s abuttable on the outer peripheral surface of the shaft part 2b, a first plane wall part 2p and second plane wall part 2q having a holding recess 2t for turnably holding the shaft part 2b through engagement with the shaft part 2b on the center side and facing toward the radial end from the center side of the supporting part 2c, and a guide groove 2u for guiding the shaft part 2b from the radial end of the supporting part 2c to the holding recess 2t. A diameter of the shaft part 2b is made longer than the space between the first plane wall part 2p and second plane wall part 2q. The outer peripheral surface of the shaft part 2b includes a first notched plane part 2x arranged opposite to the second plane wall part 2q when the shaft part 2b passes through the guide groove 2u.
