摘要 PURPOSE: An ultrasound system and a method for forming an elastic image using an acoustic radiation force impulse is provided to form an elastic image by detecting a stress of interface between an ARFI image and a reference image. CONSTITUTION: An ultrasound system(100) comprises a transceiver(120), an image formation part(130), and an image processing unit(140). The transceiver transmits a first ultrasonic signal to a target. The transceiver receives an ultrasonic echo signal and generates a first received signal. The ultrasonic echo signal is reflected to from the target. The image formation part generates a reference image by using the first received signal. The image processing unit detects a plurality of boundary points of the target. The image formation part generates the ARFI(Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse) image by using the second received signal. The image processing unit calculates the stress of each boundary point. The image processing unit forms an elastic image by using the stress.
