<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tabletop dishwasher which can perform washing operation with a relatively small quantity of washing water and without suction of air by a washing pump, and secure the stable washing capability even if there is difference in level when the dishwasher is placed on a kitchen counter top, etc. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The dishwasher includes a water level detecting means 20 and a first temperature detecting means 21 for detecting the temperature of washing water. The first temperature detecting means 21 is located close to the water level detecting means 20, and both the water level detecting means 20 and the first temperature detecting means 21 are disposed approximately at the center under a washing tub 2. Accordingly, variation of the quantity of washing water when the dishwasher 18 is obliquely set can be reduced, and the dishwasher 18 can achieve the stable washing capability with the minimum necessary quantity of washing water.
