The present invention concerns a heat shrinkable polyester film, wherein when heat treated in hot water at 80°C for 30 seconds, the film has lengthways and widthways shrinkage rates of 20% or more, and specific bidirectional, uniform constants of 0.25 to 2.5. The film has excellent die cutting properties, and it can also easily be removed from recycled containers such as glass bottles in hot water.
