<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate control of reflected light from a reflector of a projector-type vehicular lighting fixture to form a light-distributing pattern for an optional-shaped overhead signature on a light and shade boundary section of a light-distributing pattern for a passing-through beam, and to exactly adjust illuminance at an optional position of a light-distributing pattern for an overhead signature. <P>SOLUTION: In a vehicular lighting fixture having a light source arranged at an optical axis, a reflector for reflecting light from the light source to the front optical axis, a projection lens for irradiating the front of a vehicle by transmitting the reflected light from the reflector, and a light-shielding plate for removing upward irradiating light by shielding a part of the reflected light from the reflector between the projection lens and the reflector, a prism lens given an optical path adjusting treatment of the reflected light is arranged at an upper part of a front side of the light-shielding plate, and the light-distributing pattern for an overhead signature is formed on the light and shade boundary section of the light-distributing pattern for a passing-through beam by making a part of the reflected light incident to the prism lens. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
