<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in a conventional overcurrent protection apparatus, a thermally fusing metal is melted by heat generated by a heater when a contact for opening an energizing circuit to a motor at an overcurrent to prevent burning is fused, to forcedly peel a movable contact from a stationary contact, or two bimetals are operated by one heater, and a first bimetal armature performs reversal action usually and a second bimetal armature peels the movable contact from the stationary contact, the former of which needs an exchange at restart of operation, and the latter has restrictions on flexibility of the design. <P>SOLUTION: The overcurrent protection apparatus includes: a first overload relay having the first bimetal armature which shuts off a current supply circuit at a first temperature or higher, and restores the circuit at a temperature lower than the first temperature and higher than 0°C; and a second overload relay having the second bimetal armature which is connected to the first overload relay in series, and shuts off the current supply circuit to an electric compressor at a second temperature higher than the first temperature or higher, and restores the circuit only at a temperature lower than 0°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
