PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for reporting the existence of a person, which rarely makes erroneous notification that a person does not exist regardless of the actual existence of a person. SOLUTION: The device for reporting the existence of a person, includes a person detection information accumulating means which accumulates person detection information from a person-detecting sensor and searches the person detection information accumulating means back in the past. When detecting the existence of a person one or more times during the present time and a preliminarily determined past time, the device reports or indicates that there is a possibility that a person exists in the vicinity of the detection area of the person-detecting sensor even if the device currently does not detect the existence of a person.
