PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide gear shift control in which vehicle-speed limitation releasing shock is not large although change width of gear ratio at the time of releasing the vehicle-speed limitation is large. SOLUTION: If a throttle opening command is switched from a target throttle opening for vehicle-speed limitation to a driver-request throttle opening at the time of releasing the vehicle-speed limitation, a jumping gear shift from a seventh gear corresponding to tTVO=LmtTVO to a second gear corresponding to tTVO=DrvTVO occurrs to t1, as shown by a dashed line. The gear shift causes a considerable transmission shock because of a large change width of the gear ratio. A time change ratioΔTVO of tTVO switched from LmtTVO to DrvTVO at vehicle-speed limitation releasing time t1 is limited as a continuous line shows. By transmission control at the vehicle-speed limitation releasing time based on tTVO rising from LmtTVO to DrvTVO by the change ratioΔTVO, sequential down shift from the seventh gear to the second gear is performed as the continuous line shows.
