PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of removing the influence of cyclically changing noise superimposed when reading a noise component and reading a signal component. SOLUTION: When a lens unit 300 for which the drive frequency of an actuator for driving a lens for focus adjustment is f is mounted to a camera body 100 by a timing generation circuit 18, a time differenceΔT' between the read noise component and the read signal component is set so as to be the integer multiple of the inverse number of the drive frequency f of the actuator.
