PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of welding and work efficiency by stabilizing the arc and reducing the generation of pores when performing the MIG welding of Invar. SOLUTION: A shield gas for MIG welding for welding the Invar is two or three kinds of a gaseous mixture in which the gaseous oxygen of 0.1-1.5 vol.% or a gaseous mixture of a gaseous carbon dioxide of 0.2-3.0 vol.% is mixed with argon or a gaseous mixture of argon and helium, and provided is a method for performing the MIG welding of the Invar under the atmosphere of these shield gas.
