PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the risk of information leakage by preventing a storage medium with data in an image forming apparatus stored from being carried to the outside without prior consent while the convenience of a user insured. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a memory authentication information storing part 1d storing identification information of a USB memory; a data storing part 1f storing data; a USB connector 1c for reading the identification information stored in a mounted US memory; and a USB controller 1e for collating the read identification information with the identification information stored in the memory authentication information storing part 1d to store the data read from the data storing part 1f in the mounted USB memory when the mounted USB memory is registered as a USB memory that can write data.
