<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input support device capable of converting even a character string erroneously input by a user into a correct character string. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When characters are input from a keyboard 100, a control part 102 receives the characters through an input buffer 101. A control part 102 decides whether the input character string is registered in a correction history registration part 104, and when the character string is registered in the correction history registration part 104, the input buffer 101 is instructed to output a corrected character string associated with the character string. In this case, the correction history registration part 104 registers the character string whose input mistake has been repeated by a user.
