<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tabular building material capable of improving cleaning performance on a surface of a joint part of the tabular building materials to be actually and mutually joined. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The tabular building material 10 provided with actual joint parts 2a, 2b in end parts on both sides of at least either of them is constituted to form a joint groove 9 between side end parts of these tabular building materials when this tabular building material is mutually and actually joined with adjacent tabular building material. The joint groove has bottom parts 7a, 8a having a substantially plane shape or curved face shape and being a continuous face in a flush manner, and both sidewall parts 7b, 8b have a shape enlarged and opened from the bottom parts.
