Cell culture vessel (10) with a container (2) comprises an inlet opening (20) for absorbing a cell suspension in the container, where a sieve (6) with an uniform mesh width is removably arranged in the inlet opening, an opening (30) for applying a pressure difference for sucking or introducing a liquid into the container, and a microcarrier comprising a material for the adhesion of cells, where the microcarrier exhibits an uniform diameter and the width of the mesh is less than the diameter of the microcarrier. An independent claim is included for a process for extracting adhered cells from the cell suspension comprising providing the adhered cell contained in the cell suspension into the cell culture vessel, separating adhered cells, which are adhered to the microcarrier, from the cell suspension in a first culture step, and a supernatant, removing the supernatant in a first wash step using the inlet opening in which the sieve is arranged, and extracting the adhered cells adhering in the microcarrier, in the culture step from the container, after removing the sieve.
