The element (1) has two connection profiles provided at two longitudinal sides (2, 3) and/or two front sides (4, 5), respectively for connecting the element to another panel element. A plug-in connection is established between the connection profiles during connection of the element to the later panel element. Elongate recesses (9) of the respective connection profiles form a channel between the connection profiles for conducting a fluid after establishment of the plug-in connection, where the recesses have depth of 500 micrometers preferably more than 1.5 millimeters.
