The present invention provides a non-invasive method to analyze interstitial fluid, the method comprising the steps of measuring bio impedance between at least two electrodes positioned on a body, calculating the volume of interstitial fluid for that individual and deducing levels of conductivity throughout the body and/or deducing the concentration of certain metabolites in the interstitial fluid. The method may be use to monitor treatments. In one embodiment the invention evaluates the conductivity of 22 parts of the human body in bipolar mode between six tactile electrodes using a direct current and a range of frequencies.
|
