<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tennis racket hitting-number-of-times discriminating counter for numerically adding up the number of times of hitting a ball forehand and the number of times of hitting the ball backhand and displaying the respective numerical values because one of the fundamentals for improving the tennis skill is the amount of practice and the number of times of hitting the ball on a tennis racket is a reference for the amount of practice. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The tennis racket hitting-number-of-times counter includes two impact detection sensors (with one axis and directionality) for detecting the forehand hitting on the front surface of a gut surface 8 and the backhand hitting on the rear surface of the gut surface; an arithmetic operation part for adding up the number of times of hitting; display parts 22 and 32 for displaying the numerical values; reset parts 23 and 33 for resetting the numerical values; and a power supply part, which are disposed in two casings of the counter respectively. The casings 29 and 39 are fixed and integrated in respective grip bands 10, and detachably attached by the grip bands to a grip maximum detection band 2 where the direction of the impact of hitting is identical with the direction of detection.
