PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a baffle plate for an internal combustion engine, which sufficiently removes air bubbles in oil that is refluxed into an oil pan, and is configured in a compact manner. SOLUTION: The baffle plate 11 for the internal combustion engine is arranged to partition a crankcase side and an oil pan 1 side. An oil reception 15 is located on one side 12 of the oil pan 1 above which an oil return passage of a cylinder block is arranged. An oil stream bottom 14 is inclined downward toward the opposite side of an arrangement side of an oil strainer 6 arranged at a lower level than a virtual plane connecting both sides 11, 12 in a central part sandwitched by both sides 11, 12, and at one end of a longitudinal direction of the oil pan 1.
