<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality determining apparatus capable of avoiding mistaken determinations due to the normal value of information obtained by an information obtaining portion 501 differing according to the content of specific information such as operating mode setting, and deterioration in determination precision due to a change in the user of a detection subject. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The abnormality determining apparatus includes an information storage portion 503 for storing normal index information serving as an index of a normal state of the detection subject, the information obtaining portion 501 for obtaining a plurality of types of information, and an abnormality determining portion 502 for determining the presence of an abnormality in the detection subject on the basis of the normal index information stored in the information storage portion 503, and the information obtained by the information obtaining portion 501. The information storage portion 503 stores a plurality of pieces of normal index information having different values. The abnormality determining portion 502 switches, at a prescribed timing, normal index information to be used to determine the presence of an abnormality in the detection subject from the plurality of pieces of normal index information.
