The system (10) has a set of solar cell units (1) comprising a carrier plate with solar cells. The carrier plate is arranged in a position of the sun in two axes, where the carrier plate includes program-controlled drives (14a, 14b) for each of the axes. A wind turbine (2) is formed as an energy source for the drives. A controller (4) is electrically connected with the drives of the solar cell units and the wind turbine. A wind measuring station (3) is connected with the controller, and is arranged at the solar cell units. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a photovoltaic system.
