AQUATIC BATTERY

Disclosed is an aquatic battery that can effectively prevent the formation of a bio-film (microbial film) and can continually exhibit various functions such as sterilization as in the initial stage over a long period even in an aquatic environment in which bacteria tend to proliferate, for example, in bathtub water, The aquatic battery imparts various functions such as sterilization, antimicrobial properties, antifungal properties, and insecticidal properties to passing or running water or reservoir water for a long period.  The aquatic battery comprises a sterilizing unit comprising a base metal body and a noble metal body coaxially laminated through a spacing member superimposed therebetween.  The sterilizing unit is disposed in passing water or running water or is immersed in reservoir water to cause a water-borne battery reaction in a uniform clearance space between the base metal body and the noble metal body, whereby metal ions are eluted in a fully ionized state from the base metal body to impart a sterilizing function to the water.
