PURPOSE: An optical disc recording method and an optical disk drive using the method are provided to minimize a recording error and reduce the data recording time by optimizing data recording speed on the inner area of an optical disk. CONSTITUTION: An optical disc recording method comprises the steps of: measuring a residual error of a set section from a first point to a second point in the radial direction of an optical disk(S30), calculating the residual error mean value in the set section(S40), determining recording speed of the set section based on the residual error mean value, and recording data in the set section at the determined recording speed.
