<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which can be diagnosed on a user side even when an internal storage device in the apparatus fails. <P>SOLUTION: In a normal operation state, a microcomputer 16 connects a signal processing device to a hard disk drive (HDD) 14 by controlling a signal path switching mechanism 12. In an abnormal operation state, the microcomputer 16 enables a USB interface device 18 and connects the USB interface device 18 to the hard disk drive (HDD) 14 by controlling the signal path switching mechanism 12 to cause an external personal computer to recognize the apparatus as a USB mass storage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
