Process and assembly for the production of granulated blast-furnace slag for production of cement

In a process for the production of granulated blast-furnace slag, molten slag is tapped from the main process to leave more than 50% of the melt. The tapped molten slag is then quenched and crushed. Further claimed is a commensurate assembly. Gases emitted from the quenched and crushed slag is recovered for further processing.
