METHOD OF PERFORMING CELL RE-SEARCH BETWEEN HETEROGENEOUS NETWORKS

PURPOSE: A method of performing cell re-search between heterogeneous networks is provided to perform cell re-search according to neighbor RAT information, thereby reducing power consumption due to measurement of a different RAN. CONSTITUTION: A UE(User Equipment) accesses to HRPD(High Rate Packet Data)(S210). The HRPD sends neighbor RAT(Radio Access Technology) information to the UE(S220). The neighbor RAT information is information for cell re-search or inter-RAT measurement between heterogeneous RATs. The UE performs inter-RAT measurement according to the neighbor RAT information(S230). According to the measurement result, the UE decides hand over to different RAT in other words to E-UTRAN(S240). The UE attempts access to the E-UTRAN(Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network)(S250).
