<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new aid for a roll paper holder, which is capable of being mounted on an existing paper holder, simplifying the cutting operation of roll paper, and sanitarily and instantaneously forming a part in a tongue piece shape which can be easily picked by the next user at the end of the roll paper after being cut. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cutting aid 1 for the roll paper has a mounting body 2 in which an attaching mechanism 3 attachable to the side of the end 80 of the paper cover 8 of a paper holder body 7 is prepared, a pressing tongue piece part 4 projecting forward from the vicinity of the end edge of the paper cover 8 and abutting on the roll paper 9 held at a paper loading part 70 is formed on the end side of the mounting body 2, a repulsive mechanism 5 is suspended from the mounting body 2 disposed at the lower surface of the paper cover 8 so as to secure a prescribed separation interval from the higher outer peripheral surface of the roll paper 9, and a sliding seat part 6 capable of reducing frictions is formed at the abutting part of the roll paper 9 of the repulsive mechanism 5.
