<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device capable of early raising the temperature of oil at cold time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The power transmission device, having a differential mechanism 60 capable of distributing mechanical power from a shift mechanism 40 to right-left driving shafts 8 by receiving by a ring gear 66, has a frictional brake mechanism 80 capable of braking rotation of the ring gear 66, and is constituted so that at least a part of the frictional brake mechanism 80 is soaked in the oil circulating in the power transmission device 20 when the frictional brake mechanism 80 operates.
