PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for a plasma display panel and a plasma display including the same. SOLUTION: The filter (100) for a plasma display panel is attached to the front of the plasma display panel (200) including a first substrate (211) and a second substrate (251) disposed opposite to each other and a barrier rib disposed between the first substrate (211) and the second substrate (251), and having a plurality of lateral barrier rib parts (261) and longitudinal barrier rib parts (262) which intersect each other to limit a plurality of discharge cells (255). The filter includes a base film (101) and a plurality of pattern parts (102) disposed on one surface of the base film (101) to intersect the longitudinal barrier rib parts (262), wherein the pitch of the pattern parts (102) is about 15% or less of the longitudinal length of the discharge cell (255).
