<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microfiber having a sea-island structure or a core-sheath structure, which is excellent in thermal adhesivity in the production of a nonwoven fabric or the like, and to solve the problem of falling-out of a microfiber in a nonwoven fabric. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A polymer alloy fiber having a sea-island structure consisting of at least three polymers is provided, wherein the island parts extend streakily in the longitudinal direction of the fiber, an average diameter of the island parts is 0.001-5 μm, and the island parts have a sea-island structure or a core-sheath structure consisting of at least two polymers, wherein the sea part consists of an aliphatic polyester, the island parts primarily comprise a polyolefin or nylon 6, and an average diameter of the island parts is 0.001-5 μm.
