PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground fabric for air-bag, meeting enough mechanical properties and excellent in flexibility and heat deterioration resistance, and to provide a method for producing the same. Ž

SOLUTION: The method for producing the ground fabric for air-bag includes the successive steps described below: a first step of doubly twisting multifilament yarn A including synthetic fibers 1 dtex or greater in single filament fineness and 100-500 dtex in total fineness and alkali-dissolving multifilament yarn B 20-150 dtex in total fineness; a second step of making a weaving using the resultant doubly twisted yarns as wefts and warps; a third step of making a dissolving-out treatment of the multifilament yarns B at 120°C or lower for 90 min or shorter using an aqueous alkali solution with a pH of 12 or higher; and a fourth step of coating at least one side of the ground fabric subjected to the dissolving-out treatment with a resin at 5-80 g/m2.
