<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release button-adjusting mechanism which easily adjusts stroke of full-depressing and half-depressing of a release button, and also a protrusive amount thereof from an external cover. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The release button adjusting mechanism includes: a first substrate 6 which supports the release button 2 capable of operating at two steps of full-depressing and half-depressing; a release switch 24 which detects half-depressing and full-depressing of the release button by depressing the release button; a second substrate 18 which is arranged at predetermined intervals to the first substrate and supports the release switch; a half-depressing stroke-adjusting member 28 which is provided on the second substrate and adjusts the stroke of half-depressing of the release switch by adjusting the interval between the second substrate and the first substrate; and a full-depressing stroke adjusting member 30 which is provided on the second substrate and adjusts the stroke of full-depressing of the release switch by adjusting a position of the release switch relative to the release button.
